Stupid thing I don’t want.

Damn why does everyone want to get a wooden hot tub these days? Yes, they look great. A family friend of ours has one in their  cabin in Maine. It’s absolutely beautiful there. When we were out there over the winter it was snowing. We were in the hot tub but outside it was freezing. The only way I knew though was my hair was freezing like icicles. It was a very outer world experience.

Yes, so sometimes a hot tub is awesome. But there are a couple drawbacks people don’t think of. Unlike other types, a tub made of wood you have to assemble yourself. Fortunately my old friend’s husband is very handy. So they didn’t have to hire anyone. But for example if we were to put one in we’d have to pay a handyman, which would probably add hundreds, if not thousands to the total cost of the tub. And you need to understand the wooden hot tub plan.

Then you got to clean the darn thing. If you don’t do it right, there’s a possibility that someone could get infected. Bacteria LOVE warm water. And people LOVE lawsuits. Not to be cynical but honestly a hot tub is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
